William W. Berghuis
Bill is the founder of Nexus. He has spent his entire career in the investment industry and has served as a governor of the Toronto Stock Exchange and a president of the Toronto CFA Society. Bill is a graduate of Princeton University and the Harvard Business School.
R. Denys Calvin, CFA
Denys joined Nexus in 2007 following a long career with TD Bank and TD Securities where he held a variety of roles serving the capital-raising needs of businesses, most recently as head of equity capital markets. At Nexus, he has primary responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the Firm. Denys is a graduate of Queen’s University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Geoffrey J. Gouinlock, CFA
Geoff came to Nexus in 1996 after working with RBC Dominion Securities and serving as a managing director at JP Morgan & Co. He has served as a director of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada, a director of the Investment Counsel Association of Canada and chairman of the Toronto Bond Traders Association. Geoff is a graduate of Queen’s University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Fergus W. Gould, CFA
Fergus joined Nexus in 2000. His prior experience was in strategic management consulting at McKinsey & Co and in investment banking at Scotia Capital Inc., where he was a Director. Fergus is a graduate of the University of Cape Town and The Wharton School and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
James E. Houston
Jim joined Nexus in 2011 after being President and Chief Operating Officer at another investment management firm. Prior to that Jim had broad experience as an equity research analyst and in senior institutional equity roles at Credit Suisse and RBC Dominion. At Nexus, Jim focusses on business development and on-going client service.
John C.A. Stevenson, CFA
John joined Nexus in 1995 after working in New York City and Toronto as a specialist in mergers and acquisitions for Credit Suisse First Boston and Rothschild Canada Limited. John, who is a graduate of Harvard University and the Yale School of Management, also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Dianne C. White, CA, CFP
Dianne joined Nexus in 2001, after working with KPMG’s Personal Financial Planning Practice. At Nexus, she advises clients on issues related to financial, tax and estate planning. Dianne is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.
